Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles. This role requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality service. The Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
* Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks on all types of vehicle.
* Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
* Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
Skills
* Strong knowledge of automotive systems, engines, and systems.
* Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred; relevant qualifications will be considered an advantage.
* Full driving licence required
