The school offers education to students aged 4-16 who have been excluded from mainstream schools or have specific learning needs. This is an opportunity to work with a fantastic Trauma Informed School, who are trying to understand how trauma impacts learning and behaviour. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 or 2:1 support to pupils in a nurturing, trauma-informed environment. Facilitating learning and emotional development through structured activities and community-based experiences. Supporting students with EHCPs, particularly those in Year 10 and 11, who require intensive, consistent guidance. Acting as a positive role model, helping pupils build resilience, self-esteem, and social skills. Collaborating with teachers, mentors, and external professionals to ensure holistic support is in place. A Day In The Life: You’ll start your day by collecting a student and bringing them to school—building rapport from the moment the day begins. Throughout the day, you’ll support learning, lead enrichment activities, and accompany students on community outings. At the end of the day, you’ll ensure a safe return home, closing the loop on a day full of growth and connection. Ideal Candidate Will Have: A full UK driving license, access to a vehicle, and business insurance. Team Teach/Positive Behaviour Management Training - (Required) Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs, either in schools or alternative settings. A calm, resilient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and relationship-building.
