Job Title: Credit Controller
Job Location: Leeds Area – Business Park within Holbeck
Hybrid: Monday – Wednesday in the office, Thursday & Friday WFH

Sedgwick Resource Solutions are supporting our client in the search for experienced Credit Controllers to join their Finance team within the London Market specialty division.
In this role, you'll play a key part in managing the collection of insurance premiums and fees, ensuring payments are received accurately, on time, and in line with regulatory and client expectations.
You'll work closely with brokers, underwriters, and colleagues across the business to resolve queries, reconcile accounts, and keep financial information clear and up to date.
Your New Role
Manage the collection of outstanding debt and minimise credit risk and bad debt.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of all collection activity within internal systems.
Respond promptly to customer queries regarding accounts and payments.
Monitor and manage customer credit limits and payment terms.
Prepare regular reports on debtor status and collection performance for stakeholders.
Support month‑end and year‑end finance processes.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Support the wider finance team with ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Your Experience:
Proven experience in credit control, ideally involving premium and fee collections within the insurance sector.
Strong working knowledge of finance systems; experience with SAP or similar platforms is desirable.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, even when working under pressure.
Confident communicating with senior stakeholders and non‑financial colleagues.
Able to use initiative to identify issues and resolve complex problems independently.
Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
Desirable: Previous experience working within an insurance environment.
