Our system includes a mixture of Web and Mobile applications which is highly configurable to our clients needs. We're expanding our development team with our first dedicated Software/QA Tester, responsible for ensuring every release meets the highest quality standards across platforms and environments.
Role Overview
You'll take ownership of our testing function, working closely with developers and product stakeholders to validate releases, identify issues early, and help build a structured QA process.
This role will involve end-to-end testing across the Portal, Web App, and Mobile App, ensuring consistent user experiences and reliable performance. You'll also help introduce automated testing and formalise existing testing workflows.
This is an opportunity to become the foundation of QA within a growing SaaS company. You will have the opportunity to work with the wider team to define best practices, enhance release quality, and build scalable testing frameworks as our product and team evolve.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, design, and execute manual test cases across the platform (Web & Mobile).
* Validate complex configuration logic, permissions, and data flows between system components.
* Conduct functional, regression, usability, and cross-platform testing.
* Document issues clearly in existing business tools and work closely with developers to confirm fixes.
* Provide structured QA reports per release, summarising issues, trends, and test outcomes.
* Assist with refining release validation procedures and improving test coverage.
* Work with the team to introduce automated testing for key workflows.
* Manage environment testing across devices, browsers, and operating systems.
* Continuously enhance QA processes and contribute to release best practices.
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2 years of professional software testing experience across web and mobile platforms.
* Strong understanding of QA methodologies (manual and exploratory).
* Experience testing React and/or React Native applications.
* Familiarity with REST APIs, using tools like Postman or Insomnia for validation.
* Working knowledge of browser dev tools, network logs, and debugging.
* Excellent analytical and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
* Experience writing user documentation and use cases to enhance documentation/Knowledge Base.
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Desirable Skills
* Exposure to or interest in automated testing frameworks.
* Familiarity with PHP, Firebase, or MongoDB/JSON based data structures.
* Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Git-based version control.
* Awareness of application security concepts and experience reviewing vulnerability reports (Snyk/AppCheck).
* Experience testing offline-first or synchronised mobile workflows.
* Ability to interpret API payloads or basic code snippets for root-cause investigation.
