We’re looking for a creative, organised and hands‑on Content Marketing Executive to join the team at Collett’s Mountain Holidays.
This is a varied and exciting role at the heart of our marketing activity—perfect for someone who enjoys blending content creation, digital marketing and graphic design, and has a passion for travel, the outdoors and storytelling. We are looking for someone who lives in the UK and is able to work on a hybrid basis at our offices in Bakewell (Derbyshire).
The Role
You’ll play a key role in delivering and evolving our content across multiple channels, helping to inspire customers and strengthen the Collett’s brand.
Content Marketing
* Support and enhance our content strategy to improve brand perception and product visibility
* Create and deliver engaging email marketing campaigns (both one‑off and automated). We aim to send out between 1 and 2 emails each week, depending on the time of year.
* Plan, create and schedule social media content across key platforms
* Monitor social channels and respond where appropriate
* Work closely with our overseas Walk Teams to source photography, video and audio content to ensure our content is always fresh and engaging.
* Write and publish SEO‑focused blog content to drive organic traffic and lead generation
* Upload and manage content within our WordPress CMS
Graphic Design & UX
* Design creative assets for paid media campaigns (digital and print)
* Produce website page mock‑ups and contribute to ongoing UX improvements
* Edit short‑form video content for marketing channels
* Help evolve and maintain brand guidelines, including visual assets and iconography
* Create and update customer‑facing materials such as Walk Packs (notes, maps, handbooks)
Software Skill Requirements
To be successful in the role, you will need to have strong experience in a number of differing types of software:
* Video editing software – In order to create engaging content from the assets we have and get delivered from the Walks Teams in resort, it’s essential that you can edit video content with tools such as Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Premier Pro, Da Vinci Resolve or similar is key
* Static graphic creation – You will need to create a range of graphics for social (organic and paid), email and web etc, so having experience in using Canva is essential
* Desktop publishing / graphic design – A core part of the job is creating and maintaining our Walk Packs (walk notes, maps and welcome packs), so you’ll need to do this using tools such as the Adobe creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, ED and Photoshop etc) will be essential.
* UX/UI design – part of the role is designing improvements to our website based on briefs, so experience in wire framing (Figma, Framer Sketch etc) and page designing in Adobe XD is important.
* WordPress – Our website is built on WordPress, so familiarity with using the WordPress content management system (or similar) is essential when creating blogs and web pages.
* HubSpot – We publish our social media content (Facebook & Instagram) and emails (manual and automated) through HubSpot, so familiarity with HubSpot (or similar) marketing platforms is essential. Having experience in building workflows for automated email sends would be advantageous, too.
About You
We’re looking for someone with experience in a hands‑on content creation role, who brings strong writing skills and a keen attention to detail. You’ll be confident using social media platforms and email marketing tools, and comfortable creating engaging content across different channels. A working knowledge of graphic design tools—such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, XD) or Canva—is important, alongside familiarity with WordPress and HubSpot (or similar CMS and marketing platforms).
You’ll be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects at once, balancing creativity with efficiency. An interest in travel, walking or the outdoors would be a real advantage, helping you connect more naturally with our brand and audience.
Why Join Collett's Mountain Holidays?
You’ll be joining a passionate and close‑knit team within a family‑run travel business that has been operating walking and mountain holidays since 1997, where collaboration and shared enthusiasm for what we do are at the heart of everything. The role offers plenty of opportunity to take ownership of varied and creative projects, allowing you to make a real impact across the business. We also offer flexible and hybrid working options, helping you find the right balance, while being part of a brand that enables people to experience some of Europe’s most incredible walking holidays.
Contract Details
* Ideally this will be a role suitable to someone who can work for us 2‑3 days a week with the same weekly working patterns. This will involve working during 9‑5 office hours (between Monday‑Friday) so you can continue to work as part of the Collett’s UK team.
* We would ideally prefer this to be a contract‑based role outside of IR35, but are open to this being a PAYE role to someone who ticks all the boxes and is looking.
* We’re based in Bakewell, Derbyshire with flexibility to work either on a hybrid (ideally) or possibly on a remote basis. However you must be UK based for occasional catch‑ups in person at a minimum.
* Day rate will be £150‑200 per day based on experience.
* Hoping to have someone in role and starting mid July
