We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home setting. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and physical activities, ensuring safety at all times.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting nutritional health.
* Maintain accurate documentation to track patient progress and needs.
* Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure continuity of care.
* Utilise IT systems for record keeping and reporting any changes in patient conditions promptly.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
Requirements
* Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with patients and team members.
* Previous experience in home care or care home settings is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise and connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health and safety regulations.
