Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development and learning of children in our nursery setting. As an Early Years Educator, you will play a crucial role in shaping the early experiences of children, fostering their growth, and supporting their individual needs. We are looking for an afternoon practitioner - working from 1pm/2pm until 6pm.
Responsibilities
* Manage daily activities and routines within the nursery, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all children.
* Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programmes that promote learning through play.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's development.
* Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further development.
* Drive initiatives that encourage creativity, curiosity, and exploration among children.
* Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in early childhood education and providing guidance to less experienced staff members.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements within the nursery setting.
Skills
* Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
* Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to manage diverse groups of children effectively while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
* Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
* A genuine passion for childcare and the development of young minds.
