Location:Cambridge + 45-mile Radius – Split between Site and Cambridge Office
Reports to:Director / Senior Contracts Manager / Project Managers
Salary Range:TBC + Holiday + Pension + Vehicle
Position Overview
This is a development role designed to produce a well-rounded interior construction professional. You will initially support Project & Senior Managers in delivering commercial interior projects. You will transition to taking full ownership of specific site packages, learning how to balance high-quality site standards with rigorous financial reporting.
Responsible for the physical delivery of the work, managing the day-to-day running of multiple live construction sites while ensuring the finish is "snag-free."
2. Key Learning & Development Areas
* Quality Control:Conducting "pre-snagging" walks, using in house digital platforms to document site progress.
* Site Operations:Overseegeneral site Administration and periodic Health and Safety inspections. Assist and execute the planned procurement of materials.
* Health & Safety:Preparation of in house works RAMs (Vision) & review of sub-contractor RAMs, an understanding of CDM 2015regulations,
* Commercial Awareness:Able to read Bills of Quantities (BOQs), Schedule of Works (SoW), Drawings, and assisting the Project Managers in the "Valuation" process.
* Project Programming:Track progress against the provided program of works.
3. Entry Requirements & Qualifications
* Educational Path:A background in a skilled (Commercial Interiors) trade with a desire to move into management.
* Training: CSCS Card, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness & SSSTS(Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS(Site Manager Safety Training Scheme) is a plus;
* Other: Clean driving licence
* Attributes:Strong communication skills—you must be comfortable talking to both a Client, Site Manager and a Site Labourer.
