Therapy Assistant – Community Respiratory Physiotherapy

The Community Physiotherapy Team seeks a motivated and compassionate Band 3 Therapy Assistant to support high‑quality respiratory and rehabilitation services across Doncaster Royal Infirmary (DRI) and Montagu Hospital (MMH).
As part of a multidisciplinary therapy team you will:
* Assist with pulmonary rehabilitation programmes and respiratory outpatient clinics.
* Support patients in the community and provide essential administrative and service‑support functions.
* Contribute to smooth service operation across both sites, including preparation of clinical areas and group classes.
* Promote patient motivation, adherence, and confidence through clear communication.
* Collaborate with physiotherapists, therapy assistants, and wider MDT colleagues for seamless care pathways.
* Participate in in‑service training and development to enhance respiratory and rehabilitation knowledge.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Experience
* Significant experience in health or social care settings.
* Broad therapy experience or work in a therapy setting.
* Teamworking within multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Experience with patients having respiratory or cardiac conditions.
* Experience working in group settings, teaching or enabling.
* Experience in PR or Cardiac Rehab.
* Manual handling experience.
* Proficiency with Trust IT systems (e.g., SystmOne, Clinical Portal).
Qualifications & Training
* At least 2 GCSEs (or equivalent).
* Formal qualification equivalent to level 3 in a relevant area (e.g., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy).
* Relevant training courses to the post.

* Effective written and oral communication.
