Role: Professional Quantity Surveyor
Location: Plymouth or Exeter
Our client is seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to work with a number of public and private sector clients. You will build strong relationships with a portfolio of clients, acting to ensure they are best represented in their surveying needs and as an agent on their behalf to secure the best deals in assessing repair, planned, or reactive works.

What you will be doing?
* Delivering comprehensive surveying services across various projects and sectors, including commercial, residential, public, and private work
* Assessing buildings for structural and dilapidation checks
* Working with public bodies and clients to secure the best deals
* Working in a Construction Consultancy environment
* Managing multiple projects across different industries
* Participating in high-profile schemes shaping the South West’s future
What you will need to succeed?
* Act as a key contributor within the QS team, supporting project lifecycles from initial concept to final delivery
* Pursuing professional accreditation such as MRICS
* Minimum of 2 years' consultancy experience in the construction sector
* Cross-sector expertise, especially in residential projects and commercial development/infrastructure
* Autonomous project management skills across all RIBA work stages
* Proficiency in JCT contract forms; knowledge of NEC contracts is advantageous
* Strong relationship-building skills
* Ability to interpret data and communicate effectively
* Understanding of B Corporation principles, social value, and environmentally conscious practices
* Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 and cost management platforms like CADMeasure, iTWO costX
