As a Multi-Line Assembler, you will operate as part of the production team responsible for assembling parts or components to produce Building Construction Product (BCP) machines, following specified work orders. You will work across several stations to support planned and unplanned absences, utilizing lean manufacturing tools and techniques while adhering to defined 'tact times' and production sequences.
Responsibilities include:
1. Following documented standard work procedures/instructions to perform safe, defect-free assembly using hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
2. Supporting multiple stations to ensure continuous production flow.
3. Training and coaching Assembly Technicians/Apprentices to meet work standards.
4. Operating BCP built machines as required.
5. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, waste elimination, and standard work practices.
6. Covering Team Leader roles in their absence.
7. Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work area in line with 5S and TPM practices.
8. Adhering to health and safety policies and Caterpillar's core values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, and Sustainability.
9. Undertaking ongoing training and development.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Demonstrable high-level assembly or mechanical aptitude and accuracy.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to use hand/power tools and lifting equipment.
* Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.
* Attention to detail, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
* Willingness to undertake training and work a multi-shift pattern.
* Experience with assembly duties, build experience, and RCCA is advantageous.
* Flexible approach to job responsibilities, including overtime.

Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Hours: Full-time, 37.50 hours/week
Salary: £27,855 rising to £29,279 upon role trigger achievement
