Quantity Surveyor Faade Remediation Project Location: Brighton, UK Sector: Commercial / Faade Remediation Our client is a well-established regional general main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across the UK. With a strong reputation for excellence, the company operates across a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects. Due to continued project growth, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of a £20m faade remediation scheme in Brighton. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost management, contract administration, and commercial reporting, ensuring the project is delivered within budget while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Working closely with the project team, subcontractors, and client representatives, the Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in driving commercial performance and supporting successful project delivery. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and forecasts for the faade remediation project Measure and value works-in-progress, including faade replacement, structural repairs, and associated refurbishment packages Prepare and issue interim valuations, progress claims, and final accounts in line with contractual obligations Monitor and control subcontractor and supplier costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and contracts Maintain accurate commercial records, site diaries, and measurement documentation Provide commercial advice to project management, including risk management and value engineering Review and assess variations, change orders, and claims, negotiating with subcontractors and clients as required Support procurement activities, including preparation of tender submissions and contract documentation Liaise with project teams, site staff, and design consultants to ensure accurate measurement and reporting of works Produce regular reports on project costs, cash flow, and commercial performance for senior management Requirements Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on construction or refurbishment projects, ideally including faade, cladding, or building envelope works Strong knowledge of measurement, contract administration, and cost control Experience with subcontractor management, valuations, and commercial reporting Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, CAD, or QS measurement packages) Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a project delivery team in a regional UK setting In Return, Our Client Offers Negotiable salary Company benefits including pension and healthcare Opportunity to manage a high-profile £20m faade remediation project Long-term career progression within a growing regional contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK
