Role Overview
As a General Operative, you will play an important role in the day‑to‑day running of the site, supporting the wider team with a variety of practical tasks to ensure the project operates safely and efficiently.
This is a hands‑on and varied position, ideally suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with general site duties and housekeeping.
* Maintaining clean, safe and organised working areas.
* Supporting site logistics and material movements.
* Assisting trades and site management teams as required.
* Helping to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
* Carrying out routine manual handling and labouring tasks.
* Supporting the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the project.
Person Specification
* Ability to pass an Advanced DBS check (mandatory for work on RAF sites).
* Previous experience in a construction, labouring or general operative role is beneficial but not essential.
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
* Reliable, punctual and hardworking with a positive.
* Comfortable working within a secure environment with strict procedures.
* Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks.
