Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - SEN Schools
Academics are working with a range of specialist SEN schools across East Kent who are seeking passionate and proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support their students. We offer flexible opportunities to suit you - whether you're looking for day-to-day cover to keep things varied, or a long-term placement to build consistency and relationships.
The Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This may include:
Leading small group interventions and occasionally covering classes
Supporting students on a 1:1 and group basis
Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
SEN Needs You'll Be Supporting:
You will primarily be working with students with:
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH)

What We're Looking For:
HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
