The Role
Artemis Human Capital are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing organisation in the County Antrim area, for a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their busy finance team.
This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone progressing towards a recognised accountancy qualification to gain valuable experience in a broad, hands-on role.
As Assistant Accountant, you will provide support across a wide range of finance activities, including:
* Assisting with accounts payable, invoicing, and credit control
* Maintaining accurate records between the ERP system and Sage
* Assisting with month-end reconciliations and close processes
* Preparing and submitting RCT
* Supporting cash collection activities alongside the Credit Controller
* Assisting with audit preparation and contributing to ongoing process improvements
About You
We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and good organisational skills. You will also bring:
* Strong Excel knowledge (including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups)
* Clear and confident communication skills
* The ability to work both independently and within a team environment
* Previous exposure to Sage or ERP systems (advantageous but not essential)
* Knowledge of RCT processes (desirable, training can be provided)
Qualifications & Background
* Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
* Working towards, or keen to start, a professional qualification such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA
* Recent finance, accounting, or business graduates will be considered
