Advanced Biomedical Scientist - Quality Lead
Join us at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust as an Advanced Biomedical Scientist - Quality Lead in our Cellular Pathology Department.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of quality management in a digitally advanced laboratory environment. You will support maintaining ISO15189:2022 accreditation and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
As the Quality Lead, you will work alongside the Quality Manager, leading internal quality systems, promoting best practices, regulatory compliance, and innovation. You will also lead a team of Biomedical Scientists, oversee SOPs, participate in audits, and contribute to service development and research projects.

Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as a departmental leader for quality, collaborating with the Quality Manager to uphold ISO15189:2022 standards.
2. Promote a quality-focused culture through audits, document control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Lead and motivate a team, ensuring professional growth and operational excellence.
4. Support operational performance with planning, troubleshooting, and technical expertise.
5. Review and develop SOPs, quality indicators, and risk assessments.
6. Lead internal audits and assist with external assessments for accreditation.
7. Drive innovation and contribute to service development, including research and technology implementation.
8. Foster collaborative relationships across disciplines and with external partners to ensure excellent patient care.
