Overview
We're looking for a part-time Sous Chef to join the team in the Glasshouse, our award-winning farm-to-fork café.
With a genuine love of great food and drink and a passion for cooking seasonally, you're a capable team player, full of ideas with a can-do attitude.
Working under our Head Chef, you'll create exciting dishes using vegetables and herbs from our kitchen garden, beef from our home farm and game from the family shoot, and will be confident liaising with our exceptional local suppliers.

Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment
* Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or issues to the Head Chef
* Participate in menu planning and development as needed
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a similar café or restaurant setting
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
* A passion for cooking seasonally and creativity in presenting dishes

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
