Randstad Student Support is looking for experienced one-on-one Study Skills Support Workers to assist students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) in Dundee. Join us in making a difference in their educational journeys!
Starting as soon as possible, this hybrid role requires flexibility for both in-person and online sessions, tailored to student preferences.
Essential Criteria
* Teaching or tutoring experience,
* or
* In-depth knowledge of learning difficulties that students may have
Responsibilities
* Developing individual learning plans to foster independence
* Building on students' strengths and effective learning strategies
* Enhancing organization and time management skills
* Creating action plans to stay on track
* Improving research and comprehension skills
* Experience assisting students with Autism is a significant advantage.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
* Experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to help students build on their learning strengths while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
* Punctuality and reliability
* Good organisational skills
* Relevant professional memberships such as PATOSS, BDA, ADSHE, or Dyslexia Guild are desirable.
Caseload Management
Ability to manage a caseload of students effectively.
