The school is situated in a beautiful part of Cheshire providing easy access to areas for walking, riding, cycling, sailing and canoeing. The National Parks of North Wales, the Peak District, the Lake District are all within easy transport reach.

Ofsted rated our overall effectiveness rating as a school as 'Good'.
The Ofsted report highlights many of our strengths as a school: "Pupils are happy in this school. They said that they like their teachers and respect other pupils… Pupils' personal development is supported well through the curriculum… Leaders have developed a curriculum that is broad and ambitious for pupils… A recent leadership restructure is proving helpful in ensuring that leaders and governors have the information they need to make effective decisions. This is contributing to improvement at the school."
Other strengths noted by Ofsted included calm classrooms, support for students with special educational needs and disabilities, and effective safeguarding arrangements.
