SEN Music Teacher
Remedy are looking for a Part-Time Music Teacher to join a therapeutic SEN provision in Colchester, using the power of music to support and engage children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

The setting offers a safe, nurturing environment where pupils are supported both educationally and therapeutically. They value creativity, expression, and emotional well-being, and music plays a vital role in the holistic, child-centred approach.
Above the Role:
* Plan and deliver engaging, adaptive music sessions tailored to a wide range of needs and abilities
* Use music to support emotional regulation, communication, and self-expression
* Collaborate with therapists, teaching staff, and families to create joined-up support plans
* Contribute to the wider creative curriculum and school community
* Support pupils' social and emotional development through therapeutic, inclusive practice
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
* Experience teaching music in SEN or therapeutic settings (formal or informal)
* A nurturing, trauma-informed approach
* Strong classroom management and behaviour regulation strategies
* Ability to adapt music activities for non-verbal or neurodivergent learners
