Multi-skilled Shift Engineer (Electrical bias) – Location: Harlow, Essex; Salary: Up to £48,000 + overtime; Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights) - 07:00-19:00 / 19:00-07:00
My client is a major FM company who are recruiting a Multi-skilled Shift Engineer to work on a worldwide client contract for a building based in Harlow, managing M&E and building systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, technically capable maintenance engineer ready to step into a high-profile commercial site.
Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across landlord building services
* Take ownership of electrical systems including LV distribution, plant, and associated infrastructure
* Supervise contractors and ensure all works are completed safely and compliantly
* Respond to faults, incidents, and alarms within a critical environment
* Maintain accurate records using site systems and permits to work
About You
* Hold electrical qualifications (Level 3 considered if technically strong)
* Have solid experience working within commercial building services
* Are confident fault-finding across electrical and wider M&E systems
* Can lead by example on shift and take responsibility for site operations
* Are professional, reliable, and safety-focused
High Voltage experience is not essential — HV training will be provided after 3 months.
