Role overview
As the project leader you will own the delivery of multiple projects from the costing stage through to the end delivery, but you will not be responsible for administering of the tasks. You are the professional who leads people and makes sure a project is carried through. As the project leader you need to engage the team, motivating them, taking care of their needs, whilst maintaining a friendly and productive work environment. You must be extremely organised, excellent communication skills, with sound IT skills. You should be self-motivated with the ability to develop good working relationships with people at levels of the business.
What will I be doing?
Financial Management
1. Owning the P&L for the project
2. Understanding the financial performance of the project
3. Developing insights for future costing/pricing
Decision Maker
4. Defining the project management process to be applied to the project.
5. Identifying key teams across the department and operations and identify the Core Team Members.
6. Preparing project plan and obtain Core Team Members approval of the project plan.
7. Establishing and publishing clear priorities among project activities.
8. Assure that all team members understand their roles and accept their responsibilities
9. Giving clear directions and instructions to both team members and stakeholders, to enable them carryout their duties effectively
10. Applying project resources according to the approved project plan.
11. Involving functional expertise in design reviews and key decisions as well as risk strategies.
Stakeholder Management
12. Keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
13. Analysing risk and instigate avoidance activities. Establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating corrective action.
14. Coordinating management and technical decisions.
15. Negotiating the performance of activities with team members and their managers.
16. Providing input on the performance of project team members to their managers
17. Arbitrating and resolve conflict and interface problems within the project.
Future Thinking
18. Tracking and report on progress to plan.
19. Analysing the actual performance against the plan and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives.
20. Assuring timely adaptive action is taken.
21. Managing change to preserve business plan commitments. Initiate Phase Review if objectives must change.
22. Identifying future and implement future developments which will help the improve the performance of the current and future portfolio.
Ipsos UK offers a hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office and working the rest from home.

26. Be highly focused in order to stick to the objectives and goals of the company without giving in to undue distractions and challenges
27. Exhibit good motivational skills to bring out the best in team members
28. Good crises management skills to handle pressure from project challenges
29. Good temperament to deal with team members’ shortcomings.
30. A good level of excel skills (pivots, lookups), running existing macros
31. Understanding of project costs and working within budget
32. Competent in office-based software packages with the ability to learn new systems
33. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
