Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of Sustainability activities
* Assist in development of materials engineering solutions and documentation
* Support the project delivery teams, providing technical support in materials engineering design, assurance and management
* Assist in the provision of materials testing services during project delivery
* Develop and maintain relationships with relevant materials engineering consultants and suppliers
* Support the materials team in materials risk management, identifying and recording best practice and areas for improvement on contracts
* Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that BB is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards
* Assist where requested, audits of construction and materials including testing and ensure all meet project specifications and relevant standards
* Ensure procedures and quality systems are applied
* Mentor members of the team to deliver high performance and a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
* Degree educated
* Full UK driving License
* Good interpersonal/communication skills
* Ability to collect, manage and present data in a clear manner
* Knowledge of construction materials (Concrete, Grout, Earthworks, Aggregates, Asphalt)
* Desire for continuous improvement and development
* Quick learner
* Well organised
* Experience working within a laboratory environment or civil engineering project
