You will lead and manage the financial function, ensuring we have efficient, accurate and timely processes and procedures in place. You will work closely with the leaders of the agency to provide accurate financial reporting, insights and commercial value, and you will contribute to and support our overall commercial strategy to drive revenue growth and profit.This role is vital to the success of the agency, ensuring that our financial practices actively support the delivery of our financial targets and aid the future growth of the business.What you’ll be doingLead the finance team to provide best practice financial guidance, reporting and insightsDefine and deliver strategic financial plans to aid the delivery of our yearly financial targetsManage or oversee all financial aspects of the agency; P&L management, budgeting, reporting, billing, accounting, payroll, tax filing, and financial auditing and complianceReview current financial practices and identify opportunities to improve or change processes to increase efficiencies, accuracy and timelinessImplement necessary technology to support the efficiency of financial processes and remove manual data where possibleOptimise client revenue processes to be as accurate and efficient as possibleContinuously assess any areas of financial risk to the business and provide details and recommendations/solutions to the Executive teamWork alongside the Executive team to plan and manage cost, department and agency budgets, ensuring we deliver to budgetPropose new financial models to help improve growth and profitabilityOversee, review and manage client contracts, ongoing compliance and other legal financial documentsEnsure all necessary business compliance and reporting is delivered; auditing, tax requirements, insurances etcBe a key member of the agency leadership team, contributing to the agencies financial growth and success through effective guidance, reporting, insights and recommendationsBe proactive in recommending pivots in financial strategy to support the delivery of targets and be open to changes in plansSupport client teams with financial data or modelling and resolve any day to day financial queries as requiredWhat you’ll bringExperience within an advertising, marketing or media agency with a strong understanding of how agency financials run, specifically client revenue forecasting, billing and reporting2-3 years in a Finance Director role working in an SME, experience in an independently run business is a big advantageDemonstrated experience in the successful running of a finance department, achievement of yearly financial goals and significant contribution to the financial running of the businessDemonstrated success in implementing best practice finance processes to create efficiencies, improve accuracy and streamline reportingDemonstrated experience in implementing technology to remove or streamline manual processing of financial dataExperience managing a P&L and owning all monthly/yearly budgets and reportingExperience with client contracts, compliance and procurementExcellent analytical skills with the ability to get into the detail but also see and understand the bigger pictureAbility to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial peopleHigh level of attention to detail and accuracyAbility to solve problems, find errors and implement new approaches to resolve issuesProven ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with leadership teams and stakeholdersAbility to be flexible and resilient to changeFamiliarity with UK and US financial laws and tax systemInterest in health and wellness (a plus)Our valuesWe do excellent workWe keep our wordWe do the right thingWe do goodWe find a better wayWhat you’ll get in returnWe want your time at Everybody to be the best place you’ve worked - professionally and personally.
