Salary - £24,000 - £26,000
Our well-established client in Telford is seeking a Payroll Clerk on a permanent basis. This role offers a varied accountancy workload in a picturesque setting.
Responsibilities include:
1. Processing monthly payroll.
2. Checking holiday and sickness records for statutory compliance.
3. Cost analysis and payroll-related payments such as pensions.
4. Post payroll journal entries.
5. Handling cash and bank entries.
6. Preparing and sharing weekly labour costings with departments.
7. Managing month-end journals, including payroll accruals.
8. Raising sales invoices and managing accounts receivable.
9. Performing payroll and AR balance sheet reconciliations.
10. Performing any other duties relevant to the role.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar payroll role, with strong MS Excel and Word skills. Experience with Sage payroll and attendance systems is advantageous.
