Pinnacle Group are looking for an experienced Caretaker to ensure our buildings and facilities are well-maintained, secure, fully functional and Health & Safety compliant.You will be joining our Facilities Management team based at Lea Valley Academy. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed and keeping the premises clean and orderly. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills. With over thirty years of experience, we deliver expert, place-based management and maintenance solutions that enhance the everyday lives of the communities we serve.We're a people-first organisation with a values-driven culture that has stood the test of time -reflected in the way we care for both our employees and our customers.Who we're looking forWe're looking for someone who not only meets the key criteria below but also embraces our core values – Trust, Respect, Involve, Challenge, and Deliver Excellence – and is committed to earning and maintaining the confidence of our clients and communities.Key responsibilities:Carry out day to day Caretaking duties according to the daily schedule such as attending to any repairs logged on the Help Desk or reported by Site Manager.Carrying out daily litter pick of School grounds, changing external bins, sweeping external areas, checking toilets etcCarry out defined Planned Preventative Maintenance responsibilities in accordance with each School's schedule such as, Twice weekly flushing of outlets, weekly Sprinkler Alarm test, Weekly Fire Alarm Test, Monthy Fire Door and Fire Extinguisher Checks etcRespond to emergency situations such as floods, floor spillages, body fluid clean up and arranging temporary or permanent rectifciation in accordance with prescribed procedures and timescaled.Carry out minor repairs and decoration worksBeing proactive by noticing any deficiencies in the facilitiesa and either ectifying if withing capabilities, or bringing the defect to the attention of the Site Manager or Senior CaretakerKey requirements:Range of general handyperson skills such as general DIY skills, minor plumbing, carpentry and electricalGood customer service skillsAmenable and approachable personalityAbility to liaise with and assist external service providersAbility to work in a teamOur offerWe believe that diversity makes us stronger.
