Rate of Pay : £15.34- £19.96 per hour Summary: The Higher Level Family Support Worker is a vital role within Birmingham Children's Trust, dedicated to making a positive difference for children, young people, and families. Operating within a multi-disciplinary safeguarding service, you will use professional knowledge to provide timely interventions and lead multi-agency plans. You will act as a "champion" in specific practice areas—such as domestic violence or substance misuse—providing expert advice and workshops to the wider team to drive high standards of practice and achieve positive family outcomes. Responsibilities: Act as the lead professional for an allocated caseload of children and families with identified needs. Use common assessments to identify family needs and develop effective multi-agency support plans. Serve as a Designated Safeguarding Professional (DSP) within the service. Engage in audit processes and collect performance management information to ensure service quality. Essentials : Must possess the professional knowledge and skills required to work within established safeguarding guidelines. Substantial experience working in partnership with children, young people, and families to effect positive change. Experience working within a multi-disciplinary and professional integrated family support or safeguarding environment. Experience or advanced knowledge in specific practice areas such as domestic violence, substance misuse, or parenting programs.
