Key Responsibilities
1. Start your day in store and be responsible for:
2. Checking your delivery routes for the day.
3. Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery directly to customers.
4. Completing vehicle safety checks to maintain road compliance, health, and safety standards.
5. Representing the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service as your priority.
6. Helping customers with their shopping and building rapport based on trust and service.
7. Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Good time management skills.
* Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting crates and moving cages.
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and adaptable.
* IT literacy.
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a driving role.
* Knowledge of chilled vehicles.
As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver the unique quality of Waitrose products and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors, embodying our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers.
When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation.
Part-time hours (15 hours per week) over 2 days, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, between 06:00 - 22:30.
