We are currently recruiting a confident, Sales Engineer with strong communication and sales experience to oversee customer accounts in the UK and some overseas. The main purpose of the Sales Engineer is to: * Costing and Quote Production and General Sales Administration. * Gaining an understanding of the global client base and areas of operation. * Grow and develop personal engineering knowledge (E.g Materials of Construction, Engineering Standards and Design Criteria) * Establish and monitor personal Quotations and Projects * Ensure 2 continuous improvement activities are carried out and completed each year. * Monitor outstanding quotes and follow up with Customers for feedback. * Assist in the achievement of the company’s sales targets and goals. * Be an active participant in the sales team, with a positive and professional outlook. Main duties will include * Engage with Customers and process new enquiries in timely manner * Utilise the companies ERP system and develop costing models for small and large enquiries. * Produce detailed quotations defining product materials and descriptions. * Processing Orders onto the ERP system in timely manner. * Following up with outstanding quotes in a professional and courteous manner. * Monitor projects and Quotes in pro-active manner with timely reporting and updates to assist in the overall sales goals for the company. * Potential Travel within all of the United Kingdom and overseas as required. * Support sales activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. * Potential Customer visits worldwide where necessary. Ideally the right candidate would have some sales experience, with a history of costings/ quoting and keeping customer relations. If a candidate has knowledge of the oil and gas sector, this would be advantageous along with knowledge of ERP/MRP systems Experience in engineering is also advantageous ideally with CNC/Filtration experience. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work well under pressure. In return, the client will be offering * A permanent contract in a large successful company offering stability and progression * Salary £30,000 to £40,000 depending up on experience – Will negotiate for the right person * 25 Days holiday per year * Company Benefits: Annual Discretionary Performance Bonus, Pension Scheme and Life Assurance Hours 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 1.30pm Friday
