The role
To ensure the upkeep and maintenance of a busy terminal building and associated infrastructure, supporting the EMA Engineering team where required. Works will be completed to a high standard with passenger and staff health and safety of paramount importance. This will be achieved through timely reactive maintenance and planned maintenance to always ensure statutory and policy compliance.
You will provide great customer service to our passengers and customers whilst managing the priority of your workload.
5. Undertake planned and reactive maintenance work on airport infrastructure including, but not limited to: Basic plumbing Joinery Painting/decorating Flooring inspection/repairs Roof inspection/repairs Plantroom inspection & AHU filter replacement
What will make you successful in the role?
Proven ability to carry out first-line maintenance, inspections, and repairs to a high standard.
It is essential that the post holder has previous experience of general maintenance/handyman tasks with demonstratable experiences.
Experience of general building systems i.e. bathroom facilities, air handling systems, door/window fixings, flooring.
A good standard of workmanship with experience of painting and basic joinery
A good level of understanding of plumbing systems and an ability to undertake basic tasks
Good communication skills
Highly motivated individual able to work under their own initiative at times and undertake new tasks when required.
Good understanding of statutory maintenance requirements (Fire, Water Regs, Asbestos, HSAWA)
Reasonable IT skills with prior experience of using maintenance management systems preferred
