Salary: £33,063.00 Annually (FTE); The actual salary for this term time-only role will be £24,139
Working hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00

The role
The DTE Technician is responsible for providing a safe and inspiring learning environment for the pupils. You will be on hand to advise pupils and assist them. You will prepare materials and maintain equipment whilst ensuring resources for lessons are laid out and made available. Any afternoon work will involve helping in our extra-curricular clubs advising and giving practical guidance whilst ensuring a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide a safe and inspiring learning environment for pupils
* Advise pupils and assist them during lessons
* Prepare materials and maintain equipment; ensure lesson resources are ready
* Support after-school activities and extra-curricular clubs with practical guidance
* Uphold high standards of health and safety
Skills and qualifications
* Good general education
* CAD skills would be an advantage
* Experience undertaking a range of design-related tasks
* Passion for using technology to create objects using various mediums
* Ability to motivate and inspire pupils and uphold best practices
Environment
Harrow School is situated on a well-known site in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London. The Design, Technology and Engineering Department includes electronics and graphics rooms, a specialist Sixth Form design room, an exhibition area, and a well-equipped workshop. The workshop is open every afternoon during term time for pupils to pursue hobbies and interests.
