Job Title: Degree Apprentice Aerospace Engineer

Description
An Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme (EDAS) in Aerospace is a five‑year scheme covering a range of engineering branches required to design, develop, build and maintain modern advanced aircraft.
You will develop the digital and practical skills to complete on the job placements in a cross‑section of engineering branches. You will work towards a Level 4 Diploma in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing.
In years 4 and 5, you will focus on a specific engineering discipline, e.g. Aerodynamics, Systems Engineering, or Support Engineering from several Air Engineering programmes.
You will also be studying modules towards a BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering Degree on a part‑time basis.

Please note you must not book any annual leave within the first 3 months of your apprenticeship. After that, leave is considered depending on the individual training delivery schedule and must be approved by your line manager.

Export Control / Security

All applicants must, at a minimum, achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification Requirements
* 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9‑4 / A
* C which must include Maths, English and a Science/Technical subject and one of the following:
o 3 A‑levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above (1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be Engineering or a Science/Technical subject)
o OR an equivalent Level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM‑related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
