Title: Business Analyst Job Summary This role is primarily focused on business analysis, requirements definition, and process improvement, with some light project coordination responsibilities to support successful delivery. The role holder will work closely with stakeholders across commercial, operational and technical teams to understand business needs, analyse processes, translate requirements, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose. Alongside core BA responsibilities, the role will support the wider Project Delivery function by contributing to planning activities, maintaining documentation, and assisting with delivery governance. Key Responsibilities Work with business stakeholders to capture, analyse, refine, and document requirements across systems, processes, and operational change initiatives. Support the transition from manual processes to streamlined digital solutions, using a mix of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Produce clear and structured BA deliverables, including process maps, user stories, use cases, and functional/non-functional requirements. Conduct AS IS and TO BE process mapping to identify gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities. Translate business needs into actionable technical and operational requirements. Analyse and optimise business processes and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions to define scope and align stakeholders both internally and3rd party vendors. Contribute to solution design to ensure proposed changes meet business objectives and operational realities. Assist in UAT planning and execution, including creating test cases and validating outcomes. You may be required to run small workstreams and maintain key delivery artefacts (e.g., PIDs, RAID logs, status reports). You may also need to facilitate project meetings, ensuring decisions, actions, and dependencies are clearly captured and communicated. You could be required to provide concise and timely progress updates to sponsors, stakeholders, and the Head of Project Delivery. Contribute to risk and issue management and assist with change readiness and adoption activities. Required Skills & Experience Significant experience as a Business Analyst within systems, process improvement, or operational change environments. Ability to produce high-quality documentation, including functional requirements, process maps, and user journey definitions. Strong requirements-gathering capability (e.g., MoSCoW), with experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases. Confident working collaboratively and building effective relationships across teams. Able to engage both technical and business stakeholders, acting as an effective translator between the two. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear way. Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple workstreams and priorities. Proficient in process mapping and analysis tools such as Visio, Miro, or Lucidchart. Strong facilitation, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Desirable Qualifications & Experience Business Analysis certification (BCS, CBAP, IIBA) or related professional qualifications. Experience contributing to project governance frameworks or PMO standards. Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. Experience working with third-party software vendors or system integrators. Familiarity with project and collaboration tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, etc. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or ERP implementation projects
