Based in a modern, fully equipped site in Grays, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship for both trade and retail customers. We are not a general garage - our work is solely engine-focused.
We are now looking for an experienced Engine Builder to join our skilled team.

This role is for experienced engine (re)builders only. Anybody who applies without this experience will be automatically rejected with no exceptions.
Job Overview
This role is for a specialist engine builder - not a general mechanic. You will be responsible for stripping, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding engines to the highest standards. The right candidate will have proven hands-on experience in engine building, with the ability to work independently and efficiently in a busy workshop.
Key Responsibilities
* Strip down, inspect, and rebuild diesel engines to manufacturer standards
* Diagnose engine faults and carry out accurate, high-quality repairs
* Work with precision on engine components, ensuring reliability and performance
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all workshop safety procedures
* Communicate clearly with management on job progress and any issues identified
* Support workshop workflow and meet deadlines without compromising quality
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven experience in engine rebuilding (minimum 2+ years preferred)
* Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines
* Confident in using workshop tools, measuring equipment, and diagnostic systems
* High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy environment
* Relevant mechanical qualifications are desirable but hands-on experience is essential

Pay: £42,000.00-£59,000.03 per year
