A leading Food and Drink Wholesaler based in the Lancashire region is looking to hire an ambitious and talented Buyer to play a lead role in developing and implementing the wider company buying strategy within one of their fresh food categories.
You will manage and maintain supplier terms, tendering and re-tendering contracts on an annual basis in line with the business strategy. Working closely with the Technical team, the Buyer will play a lead role in the NPD process, driving innovation and giving the company a point of difference.
To be considered for the position, you will need to have a proven track record of success in a Buying role, preferably with experience in the food and beverage sector. With outstanding commercial and negotiation skills, you will be able to demonstrate success in developing promotional and category strategies and improving supplier contributions. For the successful applicant, you will be given the opportunity to earn a competitive basic salary in the range of £40-50,000 (dependent on experience) in an environment where you will play a lead role in the continued growth of the business.
