Head of RPO/Partnerships at Irlam Associates
Join Concordia Multi Academy Trust as Chief Financial Officer leading financial activity and driving financial strategy across the Trust. The role will work closely with the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officers and Director of Education during a period of growth ensuring long-term financial health and stability across all areas of the Trust.
The role will include financial oversight of ten schools a trading company, English Hub and the central team. The role will include line management of the central finance team, financial reporting, budgeting and regulatory reporting.
The Trust is at an exciting time in its journey enhancing its support to its schools as it grows and the new CFO will help us to build on this allowing the support to the Trust staff and pupils to continue to grow.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has experience as a Chief Financial Officer who can demonstrate their financial acumen and ability to develop and execute financial strategy.
It is not vital that you have experience in Education finance, however, you should be eager to learn and adapt to the challenges that exist within the sector. You should be someone that can quickly grow relationships particularly at a senior level with our Executive Team and Trustees.
Joining a small central team you should be comfortable completing administrative activities right through to being a leader in the Trust, and quite often on the same day. This ensures that the role is variable and you should be comfortable with this variety and the fantastic opportunities this brings to make a difference across the Trust.
You should have experience managing staff and developing them to provide cover and succession planning. This includes being able to hold the entire Trust to account on financial decisions and sometimes saying no.
Who are Concordia Multi Academy Trust?
We are a registered Charitable Company consisting of ten primary age schools across Cheshire West & Chester, Cheshire East and Wirral. We are entering a phase of investment to support our growth which aims for us to grow up to 15 schools within the next three years.
It goes without saying that we are dedicated to delivering the highest levels of education to our 2000+ pupils and support our 320+ staff in their wellbeing and development.
Our CEO is a true educationalist and ex-Head Teacher with extensive knowledge on the education sector and was one of the co-founders of Concordia Multi Academy Trust. Our COO, who joined us in September 2021, is from the private sector and has extensive business and commercial knowledge.
The Role

Hours
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year with a generous 30 day holiday entitlement plus bank holidays.The hours should be completed flexibly both as required by the Trust and to support the successful candidate.
Location
The role will be primarily based at the Concordia Multi Academy Trust offices, currently in Ellesmere Port and you will be expected to travel to schools as required. There is also some flexibility to work from home as agreed between you and the CEO and COO.
Pay
The salary range will be between £60,000 - £75,000.
