We have an excellent opportunity for a Part time Band 8A Clinical Psychologist to join our AMH Urgent Care/Planned Care services providing input to the Homeless Mental Health Service (HMHS) specifically supporting people with substance use difficulties. This post is 22.5 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly, based at OSL House, LE19 1XU.

The post sits within our award-winning Homeless Mental Health Service (HMHS) supporting a Public Health initiative to reach those who are rough sleeping with substance use difficulties within the City. This role is expected to include some street outreach work and clinical work in venues where those experiencing homelessness feel comfortable (e.g. frequently from city centre hostels and day centres).


Responsibilities and Role Activities

* Provide specialist assessment, formulation and intervention to service-users.
* Undertake indirect work including reflective practice, psychologically-informed training and supervising others.
* Play a key role in service development and nurturing a psychologically-informed service culture.
* Engage in multi-agency partnership work and contribute to leadership development within the service.
* Work with the socio-political context of service-users’ lives to inform psychology praxis and service delivery.
* Collaborate with colleagues, including working alongside 2 established 8b Clinical Psychologists who will offer regular clinical supervision, line management and ad hoc support.
* Contribute to teaching sessions, trainee placements and input to curriculum development in partnership with academic colleagues (e.g., University of Leicester DClinPsy course).


Working Arrangements and Professional Support

You will be supported by two established 8b Clinical Psychologists with regular clinical supervision and line management. The Trust provides a robust induction period and regular supervision, with opportunities to progress your career through a structured learning journey aligned to your goals.

The service offers opportunities to develop leadership qualities and participate in joint working across a network of LPT clinical psychologists representing adult mental health, child, learning disability, neuropsychology, health psychology and forensic mental health.
