Position: Service Reception Manager Volkswagen Cardiff
Full time - Shift Rota to cover between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and rotational Saturday mornings.
Position pays: £38,000 OTE depending on experience
Location: Volkswagen Light Commercials Cardiff
The Opportunity
The Aftersales team in Cardiff Volkswagen are looking for a highly organised and dynamic individual to join their front of house team as a Service Reception Manager.
Working within a busy franchised Volkswagen dealership, you will be tasked with developing and managing the performance of your Service Reception team, to deliver an exceptional customer service experience whilst implementing plans and processes to optimise the full potential of the department.
This position is suitable for an experienced Service Advisor looking for the next step in their career.
The role involves
1. Provide support to the Aftersales Manager in providing guidance and training to each of the Service Reception team to encourage a forward-thinking attitude and culture which will help them achieve their full potential.
2. Ensure all clerical functions within the service department are carried out in accordance with stated policies with regards to warranty claims, customer follow up, workshop loading, estimating, invoicing and daily operating controls
3. Maximise customer satisfaction by treating customers as individuals and delivering an exceptional service experience
4. Assist the Aftersales Manager to identify opportunities within the local area
5. Assist the Aftersales Manager to organise departmental forecasts and reports in a clear and timely manner
6. Maintain effective liaison between reception and workshop control
7. Maximise manufacturer score card performance
8. Customer complaint handling and problem resolution on a timely basis
About You
9. A customer focused individual with an uncompromising attitude to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a customer centric culture within the Service team
10. Outstanding interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
11. Innovative individual, willing to explore new methods of driving performance
12. The ability to coach and manage a team of service advisors
Essentials:
13. A full clean driving license
14. Previous experience in the Motor Trade (minimum 5 years)
15. Computer literacy, ideally Kerridge / 1 Link systems
