The Opportunity
Following continued growth across the region, we're pleased to offer a permanent opportunity to join our London & South-East Distribution Team as an Account Manager.
In this role, you'll act as a business partner to a defined panel of intermediaries across the South-East, helping to profitably grow our footprint across multiple UK product lines. You'll work closely with Underwriting, Claims and internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships, deliver value, and support our growth ambitions.

Your new role
You will have own responsibility for a panel of intermediaries across London, Essex, Kent and the wider South-East region. Your focus will be on profitable growth, visibility across the market, and strong partnership engagement - externally with brokers and internally across underwriting teams.
* Build, manage, and retain high‑value intermediary relationships to meet agreed financial and growth targets.
* Participate in internal and external meetings to shape strategy, share insights, and contribute best practice.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines, policy changes, and market developments; recommend improvements where appropriate.
* Represent QBE within the broker market, promoting our products and strengthening our reputation.
* Review performance and service standards with intermediaries, identifying improvement or growth opportunities.
* Act as the broker's internal representative — collaborating closely with Underwriting, Heads of Trading and other stakeholders.
* Identify growth areas using data-led insights; support new business and prospecting activity across the region.
* Develop, negotiate, and execute Account Approach plans in line with wider channel strategy.
About you
* Strong track record delivering against commercial, sales, or growth targets within General Insurance.
* Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build meaningful intermediary relationships.
* Broad insurance industry knowledge, with understanding of UK GI products and distribution channels.
* Experience managing a broker panel or previous experience as a broker selling GI products.
* Confident, self-starting relationship builder who collaborates effectively with Underwriting and wider teams.
* Organised, commercially aware, and comfortable with territory planning and CRM tools (Salesforce beneficial).
* Skilled at balancing autonomous field work with strong internal engagement.
* Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel regularly across the South-East region.
