We are looking for two full time (37 hours) Business Officers to join our busy team providing administration and financial support to the Family Support & Safeguarding Teams. One post will be based in Cambridge and one post based in Ely. You will need to be flexible in your approach to work, as this is a varied role and will include tasks such as:
Responsibilities
* Call handling, paper and electronic correspondence, and communications in a variety of forms.
* Database inputting, analysis and general excel recording.
* Processing of papers and reports in preparation for meetings and the distribution of paperwork.
* Taking minutes at statutory meetings.
* Processing and raising invoices.
* Updating children's records on the internal system.
* Liaising with external partners.
* Working alongside and supporting Social Workers and Team Managers.
Essential & Desirable Requirements
* General Education to GCSE standard with an A-C grade in English & Maths or equivalent standard (Essential).
* CLAIT/IBT2/RSA/ECDL (Desirable).
* NVQ / or other qualification in Business Administration (Desirable).
* Good administration skills and ability to prioritise, as this is a fast‑paced role often with statutory deadlines.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills; liaising with external agencies such as the Police, Health and Schools.
* Methodical and concise approach to tasks, ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
* Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to use databases.
* Ability to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* You are enthusiastic and keen to learn; you do not need to meet all essential criteria to apply.
