We are now looking for a skilled and motivated Field Team Manager – Solar to lead our growing team of electrical engineers.The RoleAs a Field Team Manager for our Solar division, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers specialising in the installation of solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic and commercial properties.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a passion for delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of electrical engineers to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality installations.Promote a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all team members adhere to PPE and safety protocols.Provide technical support and act as an escalation point for on-site issues.Monitor team performance through KPIs, coaching, and regular reviews.Collaborate with Project Managers, Design Teams, and Quality Supervisors to resolve installation and audit issues.Ensure compliance with Plug Me In’s audit and quality standards.Support the installation of other renewable technologies such as EV charge points and air source heat pumps.What We’re Looking ForLevel 2/3 in Electrical Installation (2365), Level 3 Solar PV (2399), and Inspection & Testing (2391).18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.Proven experience in supervising solar PV and battery storage installations.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.Willingness to travel and work across various locations as required.Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceECS Gold Card.SSSTS, SMSTS or equivalent site supervisory qualifications.Experience with technical drawings and renewable energy software tools.What We Offer:Competitive Salary: £47,000 salary per annum, with our annual salary review ensuring your efforts are always rewarded.Car Allowance: £4,500 car allowance per year.Birthday Off: Celebrate your day, on us!Life Assurance: Protection for you and your loved ones (4x your salary).Enhanced Maternity & Paternity Leave: Supporting you through life’s biggest moments.My Rewards Platform: Discounts from hundreds of top retailers, just for being part of the team.30 Days Holiday: Increasing to 33 days with service (including bank holidays).Company Sick Pay: Supporting you during unexpected health challenges.Pension Plan: Secure your future with our robust pension scheme.Health-Shield Benefits Program: Enjoy discounts, claim back on health expenses, and more.24/7 Employee Assistance Plan: Because your mental health matters.Professional Growth Opportunities: Join a rapidly expanding market leader where your career can thrive.Please note: All successful candidates must pass a criminal record check, provide us with 5 years’ work references, and prove their eligibility to work in the UK.Location: Market Harborough - Hybrid, LE16 9HWSalary: £47,000 + car allowance
