This is an excellent opportunity to work with high-specification components across industries including medical, semiconductor, nuclear, and scientific engineering using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and inspection equipment.
The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce complex precision components to tight tolerances.
The Role
* Programming, setting, and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC milling machines
* Working from detailed engineering drawings
* Producing high-precision components to tight tolerances
* Creating tooling and setup documentation for repeatable manufacturing processes
* Self-inspection using measuring equipment and quality documentation
* Supporting continuous improvement and process optimisation
* Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional working environment
About You
* Strong CNC milling background within precision engineering
* Experience programming and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis machines
* Good knowledge of Heidenhain controls
* Fanuc experience would be beneficial
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Positive attitude with strong attention to detail and quality
Desirable Experience
* Doosan, Matsuura, or Mazak machinery
* Large component machining
* CMM or inspection experience
* Apprenticeship trained or equivalent engineering experience
