Role Overview
As an HSSE Governance Lead at E.ON Next, you will support safe working practices and HSSE regulatory compliance for our domestic energy efficiency solutions. Your focus will be on contractor assurance across field and office environments.
You will maintain the HSSE management system, ensure business adherence, and facilitate communication strategies within the company and with contractor partners. Building your understanding of our Obligation Delivery (OD) area will enable you to provide expert advice on HSSE matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the HSSE management system in line with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other standards.
* Lead contractor site monitoring programs, managing internal and external resources.
* Supervise a team of ECO HSSE Advisors responsible for contractor engagement and monitoring.
* Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legal and system requirements.
* Manage OD's HSSE legal register.
* Establish relationships with internal stakeholders to incorporate HSSE in business changes and processes.
* Oversee incident, investigation, and risk management platforms, maintaining accurate records and analysis.
* Align HSSE risk management with commercial risk strategies.
* Support contractor selection and tendering processes.
* Lead internal and external HSSE audits.
Candidate Requirements
* Deep understanding of current SHE legislation and standards.
* Experience managing external accreditations like ISO 45001.
* Knowledge of policies affecting HSSE including gas, electrical, and insulation safety standards.
* Strong training, presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills.
* Ability to develop innovative solutions and challenge norms.
* Analytical skills to identify key issues and evaluate data.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, capable of simplifying complex issues.
