Job Summary
* To manage the safe implementation and compliance of all Company Policies and procedures and to provide competent Health & Safety advice and support to all sites and departments within the Company.
* Support the provision of effective safety leadership through the development of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Polices and improvement action plans.
* Provide advice and support to operational units in HSQE matters
* Carry out HSQE Inspections and support in hosting external audits
* Taking an active role in developing and maintaining a positive Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Wellbeing (HSQEW) culture
* Monitor emerging, new and revised legislation to assess its impact on the business
Primary Tasks and Duties:
* Monitor HSQE performance through Inspection, Audits and Engagement
* Take an active role presenting workforce engagement & behavioural engagement sessions
* Identify improvements and engage with the compliance team, to provide solutions within the Business Management System
* Support and / or lead on all event investigations
* Prepare written reports as required
* To promote compliance with all HSQE Systems, Initiatives and requirements
Qualifications and Training
Essential:
* Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – Technician
* NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
* Applicable CSCS Card
Desirable:
* Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) – Graduate or Chartered
* NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
* Kelvin TopSet 1 Day Investigator
* Accident Investigation Report Writing
* Environmental Awareness
