Bid Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager for an established Tier 1 contractor operating across the South Coast.
The business is an established UK contractor with a brilliant reputation with clients for honesty and quality of delivery and is trusted by the supply chain and suppliers as a preferred partner.
They work solely on framework and negotiated schemes in Education, Care, NHS, MOD, MOJ and local authority sectors, ranging from £20 to £90 million, on a 2‑stage basis.
Role Overview
As a Bid Manager, you will join an existing pre‑construction team, engaging in the initial stages of bid selection and decision‑making. The team works on bids that benefit the business, confident in delivery for the client.
You will collaborate with the wider pre‑construction team to devise, strategise, and build the best possible bid at the first stage. You will present the bid, and if successful, take it through the second‑stage process working with estimating and design teams, while acting as the client point of contact for all enquiries.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage large, complex bids and understand technical queries.
* Write and produce detailed bids, including initial PQQ for clients.
* Build quality, detailed, and financially sound bid content.
* Coordinate with estimating and design teams during the 2‑stage process.
* Act as client point of contact for all enquiries.
Qualifications
* Experience managing large, complex bids.
* Experience with 2‑stage schemes is an advantage.
* Confidence in writing and producing detailed bid documents.
