Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Paediatric Occupational Therapist with a strong background in Social Care/ Local Authority settings in Brent. The successful candidate will complete specialist assessments, support complex equipment and adaptation needs, and work collaboratively with families and multi‑agency professionals to improve independence, safety, and participation for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake specialist functional assessments within children’s homes, schools, and community environments.
2. Recommend and coordinate the provision of equipment, seating, manual handling plans, and minor adaptations.
3. Work closely with families, carers, schools, and partner agencies to develop personalised plans that promote independence, inclusion, play, and participation.
4. Contribute to the design of major home adaptations, collaborating with Housing teams, surveyors, architects, and external professionals.
5. Produce high‑quality written reports to support Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG), rehousing applications, and statutory assessments.
Required Experience & Skills
6. Degree / Diploma in Occupational Therapy (essential).
7. Experience working within Social Care or Local Authority paediatric services.
8. Strong understanding of equipment provision, seating, moving & handling, and adaptations.
9. Experience with DFG processes, including supporting major and minor adaptations.
10. Ability to work effectively across a range of environments including homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.
11. Excellent written communication and report‑writing skills.
12. Ability to work 3 days per week onsite as part of the hybrid model.
