The British Red Cross arrange and support many events across the country and virtually which require the help of volunteers. Could you help play an important role in making people feel valued when supporting the British Red Cross? Use your voice and energy to support at amazing events. **We have an incredibly exciting fundraising event being organised by a wonderful group in Cornwall. They are hosting an evening event at Prideaux Place in Padstow Cornwall (PL28 8RP) on the evening of the 11th September.** We are in need of a number of volunteers who are willing to get stuck in with the event organisers. Some of the jobs will include, directing cars going into the car park, assisting with handing out food and beverages, assisting with the evenings prize draw, taking donations and general set up and set down of the event. We look forward to meeting you Please note that selected events will be available to over 18's only. Diversity is something we celebrate. We want you to be able to bring your authentic self to the Red Cross and feel that you belong. We want to create an inclusive environment, and promote and spread the power of kindness. As part of creating an inclusive space we have an expenses policy that prioritises volunteers not being out of pocket for expenses linked to your role. If up front costs are difficult, you can speak to your volunteering manager about this to find alternatives. We welcome refugees, asylum seekers and others currently in the UK to volunteer with us. We want volunteering to be accessible to everyone. **Health and Safety Statement** We take an individual approach to ensuring your safety. We may ask you to complete a simple risk assessment and will also have a conversation with you to discuss and identify any adjustments you may need.
