Position: Function Co‑ordinator
Position Details
Hours per week: 37.5, Monday–Sunday. Pay: £13.42 per hour. Location: Worthy Down Barracks, Winchester (SO21 2RG).
Responsibilities
* Provide administrative and clerical support to Unit and Mess Managers
* Support the Events and Bar Manager with functions and pre‑event preparations
* Manage function bookings and daily catering requests
* Handle cash, including balancing monies and processing payments
* Prepare and issue Mess bills in line with procedures
* Greet guests and respond to queries in a professional manner
* Answer calls, take messages, and manage incoming mail
* Maintain accurate records while ensuring confidentiality at all times
* Support team operations, meetings, and general office tasks
* Ensure work areas are clean, organised, and compliant with standards
* Report incidents, faults, or safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
* Essential: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Good organisational and administrative abilities
* Desirable: Experience working in a military environment; Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
