Take professionallead for Physiotherapy provision for students and young people throughout ourcollege an adult service.
DeliverPhysiotherapy throughout the extended curriculum.
As part of themultidisciplinary team provide leadership, management, development and supportto Enablers in Therapy, Nurse Team, Care and Education.
Represent thetherapy team in multi-disciplinary meetings.
Lead and attendmeetings as required both on and off site.
Complete assessmentfor prospective students and young people prior to commencement at InFocusCharity or as part of the transition process.
Ensure all studentsand young people have high quality programmes of Physiotherapy which are sharedwith parents
Provide highquality training and assessment for staff
Contribute to careplanning, risk assessment and goal setting for each young person as well asannual report writing for EHCP meetings.
Ensuring specialistequipment is used safely and withdrawn from use if unsafe or inappropriate forthe young person.

Take responsibilityfor the delivery, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of a high standardof Physiotherapy which promotes the independence, physical wellbeing, healthand care of students and young people. Take on additional duties which could beoff campus as a part of new initiatives of InFocus Charity.
Ensure all studentsand young people have high quality programmes of Physiotherapy which are sharedwith parents and all supporting workers at the InFocus Charity within aholistic framework.
Provide highquality training and assessment for staff to ensure Physiotherapy is anintegral part of the young persons day.
Have current HCPCand Chartered Society of Physiotherapy registration and comply with CPDrequirements using guidance from both.
Quality assurePhysiotherapy provision and contribute to the Learner Service Improvement Planto raise standards of Physiotherapy.
Maintain records inaccordance with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and InFocus Charity.
Contribute to careplanning, risk assessment and goal setting for each young person as well asannual report writing for EHCP meetings.
Complete regularanalysis and audit of Physiotherapy provision for development of the service.
Ensuring specialistequipment is used safely and withdrawn from use if unsafe or inappropriate forthe young person.
To liaise withexternal professionals relating to the needs of the young person.
To support the day-to-daymanagement of the work of the specialist Physiotherapy assistant.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Recognised national Physiotherapist qualification
* Registration with HCPC
* Evidence of ongoing CPD
* Experience of multi-professional working including liaison with external professionals
* Ability to lead on meetings
* Remain updated with professional practice and the latest research
* Reflective practitioner both independently and with peers
* Committed to person centred practice
* Have an element of flexibility of working hours
* High level of tact and diplomacy
* Willingness to learn new approaches
* Self-motivated
* Accountability of own role and others within the Health and Therapy Team
