Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for SEN children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing effective teaching strategies, and supporting the diverse needs of students. The Teacher will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and social development of children in their care.
Duties
* Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the varying needs of students.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
* Utilise effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
* Provide individualised support to students, including those with special educational needs, utilising strategies such as applied behaviour analysis.
* Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
* Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student development and classroom activities.
* Mentor and support students in their academic pursuits, offering tutoring in subjects such as maths and literacy.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and other relevant documentation.
Skills
* Strong background in early childhood education with experience working with children in various settings.
* Proficient in speech therapy techniques to support language development.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively while promoting a respectful learning environment.
* Experience in teaching physical education or other specialised subjects is advantageous.
* Strong proofreading skills for reviewing educational materials and student work.
* Knowledge of childcare practices, including toddler care and preschool experience.
